Running Dirty. Eating Clean. Loving Life.

43 Miles for Sherry

This week, the running community learned that one of our own had her life taken too soon while out for a run near her home.  While details surrounding her death are still sketchy, news outlets have reported that 2 men have been arrested in connection with her disappearance.  As a runner and a mom myself, stories like Sherry Arnold’s hit close to home.  My heart goes out to her family, friends, and students.  This week I hope to run 43 miles, her age at the time of her disappearance, to dedicate to her and her loved ones.  This morning was kicked off with a a chilly 6.5 miler.  I’ll be updating daily to let you know how I am doing on my mileage.

  5. 4.5 miles of speed work on the TM today. 13.5 to go for this weekend. Going to be working all day both days, so the running shoes will be coming with me so that I can bust out a few miles any chance I get.

  6. My goal this week was to run 43 miles to dedicate to Sherry Arnold and her loved ones. I originally set out to run all 43, but mother nature and my work schedule had other plans. I ended up running a total of 35.5 miles, and finished the last 7.5 today on the bike at the gym. As the days go on and not much new information is released, I hope that answers will be coming to her family and friends soon. My heart goes out to them.
