PB&J Green Smoothie

Who doesn’t love a good PB&J????  But, as a responsible grown-up, it’s not something I treat myself to often because of guilt over the healthy factor.  Problem solved.  I found a great recipe for a PB&J Protein Smoothie, made a few tweaks, and came up with a guilt free way to have my PB&J for breakfast while getting a good dose of good fruits and veggies.

PB&J Green Smoothie

Ingredients

  • 1/2 frozen banana
  • 1 cup frozen mixed berries
  • 2 cups spinach or kale
  • 1/2 scoop vanilla protein powder
  • 2 Tablespoons ground flaxseed
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup cold water
  • 1 1/2 Tablespoons peanut butter or PB2

Directions

Blend all ingredients in a blender until smooth.  Pour into glass and enjoy!
